At the home of a HACC employee, "bugs" were found: the court associates this with court cases

The High Anti-Corruption Court reported that last week, surveillance equipment for covert audio and video monitoring was found in the homes of the staff of the HACC.

This was revealed in a statement by the HACC.

"We consider these facts as attempts to influence the impartial administration of justice by the HACC judges and associate them with the court cases currently pending in the court."

The HACC does not disclose the employee’s name or the details of the incident.

However, the statement notes that reports of interference in the administration of justice have been submitted to the High Council of Justice and the Office of the Prosecutor General, and criminal proceedings have been initiated.

Also, the High Anti-Corruption Court reminded that according to Article 6 of the Law "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges," any interference in the administration of justice, influencing the court or judges in any way, collecting, storing, using, and disseminating information orally, written, or by other means to discredit the court or influence the impartiality of the court is prohibited, and interference in the activities of judicial bodies results in liability as provided by the Criminal Code.

"Every attempt to monitor, control, or influence the court in any way, regardless of the method or form, is a serious threat to the judicial system, the rule of law, and democracy," stated the head of the HACC, Vira Mykhaylenko.
