A disciplinary case against the judge of the Kyiv District Court of Odesa, Alla Malomuzh, has been opened due to undeclared rental of a luxury apartment in Dubai. This decision was made by the High Council of Justice following the publication of journalistic investigations in the media, informs Dumska.

It was revealed that throughout the year (from October 2023 to 2024), Malomuzh rented a two-room apartment of 117 sq.m in the United Arab Emirates. Journalists found that this is a 14-story new building, the Orion Building, in the Al Barsha district of Dubai. The building includes a swimming pool, tennis court, barbecue area, and 24-hour security. The rental cost of such apartments almost matches the annual salary of the judge — about 700,000 UAH (1,500 dollars per month), which logically raised questions about the sources of funding for such an expensive lifestyle.

The Kyiv District Court provided the High Council of Justice with data on Alla Malomuzh’s vacations, and it was established that from February 28, 2022, to May 14, 2023, she was on leave for 416 days. During this period, she understandably did not fulfill her duties as a judge, but interestingly, she continued to receive a salary.

According to the 2023 declaration, Malomuzh received a salary of 725,000 UAH for her work in the Odesa court, with an additional 47,000 coming from child support. A year earlier, she earned almost 900,000 UAH, despite leaving Ukraine on March 21, 2022, and being abroad for three years.

In her 2024 declaration, Mrs. Malomuzh, likely out of habit, stated Odesa as her place of residence, but the salary for this period no longer "trickled in." She inherited a 130-meter apartment registered to her daughter, another slightly smaller one at 68 sq.m belonging to her husband and his parents, plus a couple of garages.

The BMW X5 car, which appeared in documents until 2022, disappeared without any declared income from its sale.

It is known that the judge’s husband, Vasyl Larchenko, worked as a criminal police operative in Odesa until 2019. They have two children together, the younger daughter was born two years ago in Argentina. There is another child from her first marriage, for whom she receives alimony.

The resolution of the HCJ states that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has already taken up checking the lifestyle of Alla Malomuzh.

In this regard, it was decided to open a disciplinary case concerning the judge.
