Zelenskyy does not know what the Russians will bring to the negotiations in Istanbul

This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of state noted that Ukraine is currently preparing for new diplomatic steps together with partners in Europe and the United States. In particular, the Ukrainian side is in daily contact with everyone "who can make diplomacy meaningful."

"At this moment, there is no clear information on what the Russians intend to bring to Istanbul. Neither we, nor Turkey, nor the United States, nor other partners have this information. And right now, it doesn’t look very serious," the president noted.

Zelenskyy added that he discussed this issue with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, yesterday. He emphasized that everyone in the world wants diplomacy to work and for a ceasefire in Ukraine to be achieved.

"Everyone wants Russia to stop playing with diplomacy and end the war. Everyone wants a serious peace, and Russia must agree to this. This should be the agenda for the meetings. We have submitted our agenda," Zelenskyy stated.

The President of Ukraine also expressed hope that the United States "will be decisive in terms of sanctions to help establish peace."
