General Staff: Aircraft of the Russian Federation were hit at the Savasleyka airfield, likely MiG-31 and Su-30/34

On the night of June 9, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, struck the "Savasleyka" airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the press center of the General Staff.

It is noted that the Russian aggressor uses it for attacks on the territory of Ukraine. From this military facility, MiG-31K fighters, which are carriers of "Kinzhal" hypersonic missiles, regularly take off.

According to preliminary information, two units of enemy aircraft (presumably MiG-31 and Su-30/34 aircraft) have been damaged.

The results of the combat action are being clarified, the General Staff adds.
