At the G7 summit, no joint statement on Ukraine was adopted, reports the "Suspilne" correspondent from the event location.

However, six other joint statements were approved — concerning AI, smuggling, migration, critical minerals, forest fires, and Israel’s security.

The head of the summit, Canada’s Prime Minister Carney, noted that support for Ukraine was agreed "verbally" and mentioned in his personal closing statement. In this statement, it was announced that Canada would allocate $5 billion through the G7 emergency lending mechanism.

Let us recall that Trump and Zelenskyy left the summit early. The WSJ reported that the President of Ukraine was unable to secure the support he was counting on.
