The priests of the UOC MP are mobilized on general grounds: the TRC explained the absence of reservation

In the Ternopil TRC reported that priests of the UOC are being mobilized because the state has not provided them with exemption from service.

During the discussion of the mobilization of two priests in the Ternopil region, it was explained to the Ukrainian media that “during the verification of the documents of the priests, it was found that they had not exercised their right to deferment, were not exempted, and, accordingly, should be mobilized on a general basis.”

“The legislation does not provide absolute exceptions for categories of persons who cannot be mobilized during martial law. It is important to have legal grounds for deferral or exemption,” noted the TRC.
