"Subject to physical elimination": Filatov and Sternenko announced preparations for attempts on their lives

Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko have announced that attempts are being prepared against them, accusing the National Police of not warning them as potential victims and that they learned about it from the media. The police stated that no clear signs of preparation for the attacks were found.

Law enforcement officers have thoroughly examined the content of the phone of the suspect in the murder of linguist Iryna Farion as part of the pre-trial investigation, the materials of which investigators sent to court on December 25, 2024. This was reported in a statement by the agency on its Telegram page.

It is specified that law enforcement officers, in addition to studying the suspect’s phone, also thoroughly analyzed his search queries and other files he stored.

During the inspection, the police did not find any data on the preparation of the murders of Filatov and Sternenko.

"As a result of establishing all the objective circumstances in the case, no information was obtained indicating the preparation of crimes against the activist and the city mayor," — the agency stated.
