Russia attacked Odesa: a UAV hit a residential building, a fire broke out, people were killed
On the night of May 27 to 28, Russian drones attacked Odesa. One of them struck a 21-story residential building.
This was stated by the Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, and the State Emergency Service.
The impact caused a fire from the seventh to the ninth floors. People were trapped in their apartments. Five people were rescued, including a small child.
At least two fatalities are known.
"Rescuers have just found the bodies of a couple who died as a result of an enemy drone hitting the apartment," Trukhanov noted.
The head of the regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, reported that as of 03:30, information was available about six injured: two children and four adults, all of whom are in hospitals. A seven-year-old boy is in moderate condition, and a three-year-old child has been poisoned by combustion products. All adults are in moderate condition.
