The SAPO appealed the preventive measure against Chernyshov and will seek his removal from office

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) has filed a complaint with the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court against the decision of the first instance, which refused to remove Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov from office. He is suspected of abuse of office and receiving a bribe.

This was reported to "Ukrayinska Pravda" by SAPO spokesperson Olha Postolyuk.

According to her, the prosecutors also appealed the preventive measure that was previously determined by the court for Chernyshov. The appellate court hearing regarding the preventive measure is scheduled for August 7.

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office insists on additional restrictions for the government official:

• to surrender passports for foreign travel,

• to restrict movement to within Kyiv and the region,

• to wear an electronic bracelet for monitoring.

Recall that Oleksiy Chernyshov is involved in a criminal case regarding corruption crimes at the state level.
