Russians attacked with drones from two directions overnight: Air Defence Forces neutralized 17 targets

On the night of July 18, Russian terrorists deployed 35 Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drone imitators against Ukraine. Hits were recorded in 5 locations.

This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

During the shelling, the drone attack was conducted from the directions of the Russian cities of Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. In total, 35 UAVs were launched, 29 of which were Shahed-type.

The main target of the strike was the frontline territories in the east of the country.

To repel the attack, the following were engaged:

• anti-aircraft missile troops;
• electronic warfare and drone units;
• mobile fire teams of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

As of 08:30, the air defence (AD) shot down 11 drones in the north and east of the country. Additionally, 6 UAVs were lost in location or suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) means.

As a result of the attack, the following were recorded:

• 18 drone hits in 5 locations;
• debris falls in 2 locations.
