The situation on the front: since the beginning of the day, 116 combat clashes have occurred

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 16:00 on Sunday, August 3.

As a result of today’s Russian artillery shelling, the settlements of Yastrubshchyna, Velyka Pysarivka, Sorokyne, Starykove, Brusky, Bila Bereza, Khliborob, Pokrovka, Babyne, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Prohres, Stara Huta in the Sumy region, and Tymofiivka in the Kharkiv region were affected.

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven Russian attacks, with three more engagements still ongoing. The enemy launched seven airstrikes, dropping a total of 17 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 143 artillery shellings, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.

Today, the enemy attacked our troops’ positions three times in the areas of Vovchansk, Fygolivka, and Krasne Pershe in the Southern-Slobozhanskyi sector.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Defence Forces repelled seven enemy assaults in the areas of Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Nova Kruhliaivka.

The aggressor attacked our troops’ positions 13 times in the Lyman sector near Karpivka, Torske, Hryhorivka, towards Serednie, Cherneshchyna, and Shandryholove. Two engagements are ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, our defenders repelled one enemy attack, while three more attempts by the enemy to advance near Hryhorivka, Serebryanka, and Siversk are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks near Markove and towards Bila Hora and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attacked our troops’ positions nine times in the areas of Rusyn Yar, Shcherbynivka, and Katerynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, there were 38 engagements in the areas of Popiv Yar, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Orekhove, and towards the settlements of Novoukrainka, Novopidhorodne, Rodynske, and Chervonyi Lyman. Three engagements are still ongoing.

The occupiers tried to break through 14 times in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhya, Novokhatske, Voskresenka, Zeleny Pole, Myrne, Maliivka, Temyrivka, Novopil, and towards the settlement of Levadne in the Novopavlivka sector. One engagement remains ongoing.

In the Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi sectors there were no engagements from the start of the day. The enemy launched airstrikes on the settlements of Kherson, Novoandriivka, and Lvove.
