Police officer Vladyslav Mozhovyi from Kamyanske organized a drug scheme under the guise of substitution therapy

In Kamyanske, Dnipropetrovsk region, the deputy head of the criminal police department, Vladyslav Mozhovyi, organized a drug distribution scheme under the guise of providing substitution therapy to drug addicts.

The figures rented premises, officially declaring the creation of a medical center that supposedly provided free assistance to drug addicts. After obtaining a license to store narcotic drugs, they purchased methadone from a municipal enterprise specializing in the wholesale trade of pharmaceutical goods and distributed it to anyone interested under the guise of psychiatric assistance. It is estimated that they earned about half a million hryvnias monthly.

Three months ago, operatives from the internal security department began documenting Mozhovyi’s criminal activities, but the information leaked. The leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk police secretly dismissed him at the end of last month.

Earlier, local prosecutor Serhiy Kuzmenko (deputy Vitaliy Chebotaryov) tried to "quash" the case, but the new leadership of the regional prosecutor’s office informed four participants in the scheme of suspicion for organizing drug distribution under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code.
