The occupiers struck Odesa region: one person was injured, port infrastructure was damaged

On the night of August 20, Russia once again attacked the Odesa region with drones. The Izmail district of the region came under attack.

Port infrastructure was damaged, fires broke out, and there is a casualty. This was reported by the Izmail District State Administration.

"On the night of August 20, Russian troops, amid the invasion and conduct of war against Ukraine, carried out an attack with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) — kamikaze-type drones "Shahed" — on the Izmail district. Despite the active work of the Air Defence Forces, unfortunately, there were hits," stated the Izmail District State Administration on the morning of August 20.

They reported that the port infrastructure suffered destruction.

"Fires broke out, which are being extinguished by units of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, one person was injured. They are receiving all the necessary assistance. The enemy continues to carry out terrorist acts against the civilian population of our country," the message states.
