Approximately 237,000 people living in dangerous areas need evacuation. Among them are almost 17,200 children. From June 1 to August 22, 2025, more than 64,000 people have been relocated from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

The transit point in Pavlohrad is one of the key locations for evacuation. For example, on August 21, 233 people passed through this point, and as of the morning of August 22, there were 91 people remaining there.

There is also a new point in Lozova in the Kharkiv region, and another one is starting to operate in Voloske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The transit point in Lozova can accommodate 244 people, and within three days of its operation, 224 people have already received comprehensive assistance at this point. This includes monetary payments (10,800 UAH), food and hygiene kits, as well as medical, psychological, and legal assistance. Recently, there were 17 people staying at the transit point. All others have moved further into the country to temporary accommodation places.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba, each region from which evacuation to safer regions is organized has a partner receiving region.

"Currently, Rivne, Kirovohrad, and Kyiv regions are already receiving evacuees. Vinnytsia and Poltava are preparing to receive internally displaced persons if needed. We are reformatting the work of transit points so that they only perform a temporary function, and people can move to safer regions within a day," said the minister.

Evacuation trains with additional cars continue to operate. Since August 15, over 430 people have been evacuated to Kyiv, Lviv, and Rivne; future routes have already been planned, and additional evacuation cars have been allocated.

Ukrzaliznytsia is working on expanding evacuation routes: trains can depart from Pavlohrad and Dnipro to Poltava, Odesa, Cherkasy, and Kropyvnytskyi.

Currently, work is underway to organize temporary accommodation for 2,000 people with limited mobility. Additionally, direct transportation of individuals with limited mobility who require medical assistance from evacuation points to specialized hospitals needs to be ensured.
