Russians attacked Novodonetske in Donetsk region: two people killed, two others injured

On the night before Monday, September 8, Russian aggressor forces carried out an attack using a "Geran-2" strike drone on the village of Novodonetske in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region. As a result of the strike, a pensioner and his daughter were killed, and two other people were injured.

The consequences of the attack were reported by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. An investigation into the shelling of Novodonetske has been initiated.

What is known about the strike on Novodonetske

At night, the occupiers attacked the village of Novodonetske in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region with a "Geran-2" drone.

A two-story residential building, where civilians were present, was hit.

As a result of the shelling, a 77-year-old pensioner and his 51-year-old daughter were killed.

The 76-year-old wife of the deceased and a 67-year-old man sustained injuries. They received medical assistance.

A car was also damaged at the site of the strike.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kramatorsk District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in a criminal case regarding a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Four residents of Donetsk region killed in a day

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported on Monday morning that on September 7, Russian forces killed four residents of Donetsk region.

Two people were killed in Novodonetske, and two others in Slovyansk and Toretsk.

Another ten people were injured.

"Russia is killing civilians!" – the official’s statement reads.
