Zelenskyy: Ukraine is in constant contact with the US regarding sanctions and ending the war

Ukraine maintains constant contact with the United States at various levels. The topics of negotiations between Kyiv and Washington include sanctions against Russia and other steps aimed at ending the war.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on September 11 during a joint press conference with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb.

Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian government team regularly communicates with partners in the US at all levels.

"There are constant contacts with American colleagues at different levels. The head of my office, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the head of the National Security and Defense Council. We are in touch with Rubio, Kellogg, Witkoff, with everyone. I might have missed someone, apologies for that, they have a large team," said the head of the Ukrainian state.

According to Zelenskyy, negotiations are also being held directly with US President Donald Trump.

The last such conversation took place following the summit of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris:

"We communicate constantly, and sometimes we have the opportunity to speak with President Trump. We have respective calls. The last time we had a call was in Paris. Yes, we discussed sanctions and various steps with the President."

Zelenskyy added that new contacts with American partners are expected in the coming days.

"We are in communication now, and we expect, if possible, to get in touch with the White House in the coming days. I think we will hold the respective conversation," the President announced.
