Ukraine repelled a night attack by Russia: air defence destroyed 103 Shahed-type kamikaze drones

The Russian occupation army once again terrorized Ukraine with drone attacks on the night of September 23. The invaders launched dozens of Shahed-type kamikaze drones and missiles.

Air defence forces destroyed 103 UAVs. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 115 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of dummy UAVs. The Russians launched UAVs from various directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, Hvardiiske – the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, with about 60 of them being Shaheds.

The aerial assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defence systems shot down or suppressed 103 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Geran, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country. There were missile strikes and 12 strike UAV hits recorded at 6 locations, as well as debris from downed drones at 8 locations.
