The Armed Forces of Ukraine are digitizing medicine on the front lines: Syrskyi announced robotic evacuation of the wounded

The modern battlefield is defined by strike drones, and the engagement zone can reach up to 10 kilometers. Under such conditions, the rapid evacuation of the wounded, the development of logistics, and military medicine become particularly important.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"We must view the war through the lens of the needs of the Ukrainian infantryman, protecting his life and health," he emphasized during a meeting on medical support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Syrskyi, all identified issues must receive immediate and concrete solutions.

During the meeting, the experience of the 106th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade was presented. There, medics use portable FMC complexes for remote consultations between hospital doctors and military personnel performing combat tasks.

This system enables secure online consultations with the transmission of ECG, dermoscopy, ultrasonography, and otoscopy data, even when there is a significant distance from the line of contact to hospitals and medical facilities with specialized experts.

As Syrskyi noted, the first batch of equipment has already been delivered to military units and has shown effective results. The gained experience is planned to be scaled up, implementing new technological solutions, including the digitization of medical documentation and the use of robotic systems for the evacuation of the wounded.

Work is also ongoing on the digitization of medical care records for the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Above all, we must work to preserve the lives and health of Ukraine’s defenders who hold the front line," the Commander-in-Chief concluded.
