How Nefedov lobbied the protégé of smuggler Seyar Kurshutov

The recent competition for the position of head of the Odesa Customs is considered to be concluded: out of 58 participants, 5 were allowed to interview. Subsequently, the candidacy of Mykhailo Hribanov, the owner of the brokerage "GM Consult," was agreed upon. Notably, in the documents registered by the company just 4 years and 10 months ago, the contact email address is on the server of a Russian company, whose website is still on the restricted access list.

Mykhailo Hribanov is an appointee of Seyar Kurshutov, who was practically a personal representative at the time, ensuring smuggling flows taxed in favor of Poroshenko through Hranovskyi. Since Hranovskyi is currently on the run, Kurshutov does not intend to lose the smuggling flow schemes built over the years through the customs controlled by him. Through agreements with Nefedov, the candidacy of a more or less "clean," but fully controlled Kurshutov appointee as the head of the Odesa Customs – Mykhailo Hribanov – was approved.

Seyar Kurshutov was one of the key figures in Hranovskyi’s smuggling scheme, providing practically the full functioning of the scheme for distributing "green corridors" for large companies importing gray and black goods into Ukraine. This includes practically all the major electronics retail chains, which you can name yourselves, so we won’t dwell on this.

Kurshutov is one of the entire scheme of smugglers, a person who ensured the uninterrupted flow of black cash for smuggling flows in the directions of:

Petroleum products, tobacco products, luxury cars, consumer goods, alcohol and alcohol-containing products, fertilizers, and of course, various kinds of narcotics.

Apart from Seyar Kurshutov himself, the scheme also involved people like:

SSU officers Pavlo Demchyna and Serhiy Kovalenko; the latter is quite known for "customs scandals," yet both remain unpunished.

Volodymyr Bedrykovskyi, a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office under Lutsenko, is another notable figure in customs smuggling schemes now under the Prosecutor’s General Office.

Serhiy Serdyuk, like the others, is another representative of the former smuggling schemes in Ukraine.

This list could go on for a long time, and we will try to focus on each of them and track the actions of each participant in smuggling at present.

The current actions of Nefedov regarding the appointment of Mykhailo Hribanov as the head of the Odesa Customs only indicate that Kurshutov negotiated significant kickbacks from Customs to remain within the smuggling scheme even under the current government.

Kursutov himself, as a representative of Hranovskyi and Sherman, has been trying to negotiate with the president’s office practically since last year, contacting either Illya Pavlyuk (also an infamous figure in customs smuggling, but from the Yanukovych era) or other representatives.

It seems that due to this appointment of Kurshutov’s creature, the process of agreement and arrangements on customs and the distribution of smuggled "black cash" can be considered successful for all sides of the scheme.
