Entrepreneurs and KCSA officials misappropriated 75 million hryvnias from the "Care" program, — Prosecutor’s Office
Over 20 million UAH returned to Kyiv’s budget, which entrepreneurs, along with KCSA officials, misappropriated through the city program «Care. Towards Kyivites».
This was reported by the prosecutor’s office.
Two businessmen involved in the scheme have admitted guilt and have already compensated 12.5 million UAH, as well as donated six vehicles worth about 8 million UAH for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the fraud involved the Director of the Department of Social and Veterans Policy of KCSA, their deputies, and several entrepreneurs. They seized funds intended to assist elderly and low-mobility Kyiv residents.
Part of the money was siphoned off through fictitious lease agreements and non-existent services — for example, «exercises on stationary bikes» for bedridden patients. Out of the 150 million UAH allocated for the program, the perpetrators misappropriated approximately 75 million UAH.
