The Russian Federation attacked Ukraine tonight: Sky Defenders shot down 17 out of 20 shaheds

On the night of May 9, air defense forces destroyed 17 out of 20 kamikaze drones of the Shahed-131/136 type in the Ukrainian sky. Russian troops attacked the south of our country with them.

Air defense worked against attack UAVs in Odesa region. The commander of the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, announced the repulsion of another enemy attack.

He emphasized that the enemy launched the drones from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

“As a result of combat work, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces destroyed 17 attack UAVs in Odesa region,” the message says.

So far, the regional military administrations have not reported on the consequences of this “shahed” attack.
