The occupiers carried out more than 210 strikes in the Sumy region: there are dead and wounded

On Sunday, May 12, the Russians carried out 26 attacks on border areas and settlements in the Sumy region. 157 explosions were recorded. At night and in the morning, the enemy continued to attack the area; as a result of the attacks, a man was killed and three more people were injured.

A total of 210 Russian strikes were recorded over the day. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, on Sunday, the Sumy, Bilopil, Miropil, Krasnopil, Velykopysariv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyno-Bud and Znob- Novhorod communities were shelled.

In particular, the enemy fired 52 times at the Bilopilska community with mortars and launched an FPV drone strike.

In addition:

- Esman community: an FPV drone strike was carried out, one explosion was heard. There were mortar attacks (9 explosions).

- Velykopysarivska community: 29 mines were dropped by Russians on the territory of the community.

- Krasnopilska community: mortar shelling (7 explosions) and artillery (19 explosions). Unfortunately, one resident of the community died as a result of the shelling, and two other residents were injured.

- Znob-Novhorod community: the enemy attacked with mortars (15 explosions).

- Miropilska community: a tank was fired upon (3 explosions).

- Shalyhyno community: mortar shelling was recorded (14 explosions).

- Sumy community: the enemy launched a rocket attack on the outskirts of Sumy.

- Seredyno-Buda community: 6 mines were dropped by Russians on the territory of the community.

As of 08:00 on Monday, 13 May, the RMA reported that at night and in the morning, the enemy fired five times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 24 explosions were recorded. Bilopilska and Krasnopilska communities were shelled.

The occupiers fired artillery at the Krasnopilsk community; 12 explosions were recorded there. The enemy opened fire on the Belopol community with MLRS (eight explosions), mortars (three explosions) and struck with an FPV drone (one explosion).

As of 09:30 Monday, the National Police said that over the past 24 hours the invaders had shelled 24 settlements in the Sumy region. A total of 210 strikes were counted.

The attacks left one man dead and three others injured. Six private households and three cars were also damaged, the National Police reported.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
