During their meeting in Paris on 7 June, Presidents of Ukraine and France Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron signed agreements on assistance to rebuild Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

Macron announced this at a joint press conference.

According to the French president, the delegations from Kyiv and Paris held negotiations on the restoration of Ukraine and “decided that new instruments will be created to accompany” this process.

“An agreement has been signed on a fund of 200 million euros, intended for those enterprises that will invest in Ukraine’s critical infrastructure for recovery. We have also decided that 60 million euros from this fund will be dedicated to the energy sector and its priorities,” he announced.

In addition, Macron said, Paris is expanding the French Development Agency’s mandate to support projects in Ukraine at the local level and is sending 20 technical experts to various key Ukrainian ministries to provide technical assistance.
