Situation at the front: 144 clashes occurred in 24 hours

The Russian occupiers are attacking along the entire front line, most actively in the Toretsk, Pokrovsk and Kharkiv directions; in just 24 hours, 144 military clashes occurred.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8 am on July 18 on Facebook .

“According to updated information, yesterday the enemy launched two missile strikes and 67 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using, in particular, 104 KAB. In addition, he carried out 4,605 attacks, 94 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.”

The occupiers carried out air strikes in the areas of Hlyboke, Liptsi, Mali Prokhody, Staritsa, Sinkivka in Kharkiv region; Terny, Lyman, Makiivka, Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Dobropillia, Pivnichne, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, Umanske, Pokrovsk, Zhelanne, Progress, Arkhangelske, Katerynivka, Urozhayne and Vodyane in Donetsk Oblast; Gulyaypole, Lobkove, Rivne, Kamianske and Pyatikhatky in Zaporizhzhia.

At the same time, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces conducted 2 strikes on the enemy’s military equipment and manpower, destroyed 2 control points, an air defence facility, 4 radar and electronic warfare stations and 2 other important enemy targets.

"In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1,130 casualties over the last day. Ukrainian servicemen also neutralised 7 tanks, 12 armoured combat vehicles, 54 artillery systems, 50 operational and tactical UAVs, 92 vehicles and 7 units of special equipment," the General Staff noted.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russians continued offensive and assault operations. There were 20 combat engagements. All of them took place in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk. The occupants actively used bombers to carry out attacks.

The number of attacks in the Kupyansk sector increased to 11 over the last day. Ukrainian defence forces repelled all enemy assaults near Sinkivka, Novoozykove, Andriivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 10 occupants’ attacks near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny, Torske and in the Serebryansky forest.

In the Siversk sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 10 assault attacks. The invaders tried to advance near Spirne, Verkhnekamianske, Vyymka and Rozdolivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 6 enemy attempts to break through the defences. The occupants, with the support of aviation, made the main efforts in the area of Chasovyi Yar.

Yesterday, Russians continued to be active in the Toretsk sector, attacking Ukrainian positions 29 times in the areas of Pivnichne and New York, and launching air strikes with the use of anti-aircraft guns.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 26 assaults and attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Karlivka, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka, where the invaders, with the support of aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped enemy attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka, where the invaders tried to break through the Ukrainian troops’ defences 12 times.

In the Vremivsk sector, the invaders made three assaults on positions near Kostiantynivka and Novodarivka.

In the Orikhove sector, there were 7 firefights in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka. In addition, the invaders fired about a hundred unguided aerial missiles in the directions of Huliaipol, Lobkove, Rivne, Kamianske and Pyatikhatky.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the occupiers continue to try to drive the Ukrainian Defence Forces units from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro. Five Russian attacks were unsuccessful, the General Staff noted.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.

"On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the occupants maintain a military presence, shelling settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities against Ukraine," the General Staff summed up.
