The occupiers hit Kharkiv for the first time with a cassette Iskander

On July 24, Russian occupation forces struck an industrial facility in Kharkiv twice - during the second attack, the enemy used an Iskander missile with a cluster warhead. The occupiers hoped to hit the rescuers and law enforcement officers who were at the site of the first arrival.

Fortunately, ten minutes before the second strike they left the place. The head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko, spoke about this, Suspilne reports.

However, local residents who were simply passing by were injured.

“It’s a miracle that both rescuers and police left this facility 10 minutes before the second strike. However, they hit with a cassette, the cassette scattered over a large area and people were injured who were simply passing by a private enterprise on the street, or were in the private sector located nearby,” said Tymoshko.

On his Facebook page, the law enforcement officer said that this cassette Iskander was manufactured in the aggressor state already in 2024.

“The cassette Iskander, which the zombies threw at Kharkiv after the first strikes, was manufactured in the second quarter of 2024. Unfinished parts are marked by marking the quarter and year. Such a part was found during an inspection of the scene. All from the assembly line to the front,” it says in the message.

The cluster shell attack was also confirmed by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

“There was a second strike in Kharkiv. Again, with an Iskander missile, this time a cluster one. The enemy is targeting units of the State Emergency Service and the National Police who are leaving to eliminate the consequences,” he said.
