Pre-trial restraint extended for ex-Supreme Court chief Knyazev

The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has extended the term of office of former head of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev until November 9, 2024.

This information was announced by the presiding judge during a hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court.

"The court decided: to satisfy the SAPO prosecutor’s motion to extend the deadline for fulfilling the duties imposed on the accused. To extend the term of Knyazev’s duties imposed on him. To set the term of the ruling until November 9, 2024 inclusive," the judge noted.

Among the duties whose validity period was extended by the court:

• to appear at every request of the prosecutor and the court,
• do not leave the borders of Ukraine without permission from the prosecutor or the court,
• inform the prosecutor or the court about changes in your place of residence and work,
• avoid contact with certain people,
• hand over your passports and other documents that give you the right to enter and leave Ukraine for safekeeping at the State Migration Service in Kyiv.

During the meeting, the examination of documents within the framework of this case continued.

In particular, the court added a number of documents submitted by the SAPO prosecutor to the materials of the judicial proceedings for consideration.

Following this, the HACC postponed the court hearing on this case until 10:00 on September 23.
