The main contender for the position of head of the Deposit Guarantee Fund got into a fight with a soldier

A soldier with the call sign "Immortal" stated that the drunk head of the NBU’s Department for Problem Assets Management, Pavlo Polyarush, "jumped in front of the car, blocked traffic, started fighting, and threatened to shoot me in the legs with an award weapon."

Polyarush denies this, but refused to take a breathalyzer test. He says his glasses were broken and demands compensation for them.

Polyarush has been working at the NBU since April 2023, previously serving as an advisor to the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Defence.

He was the number one candidate for the position of Director of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals, after the previous director’s authority ended.
