Companies of Boholyubov and Kolomoiskyi provided financing to the occupiers for 100 million dollars

This refers to business structures that operated in the territory of the Russian Federation through a network of offshore companies.

Companies associated with Ihor Kolomoyskyi and Hennadiy Boholyubov have paid about $100 million in taxes to the Russian budget since 2014. This concerns structures that conducted their activities in the Russian Federation through a number of offshore companies.

This is reported in data from the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation.

As is known, in the spring of 2024, a Russian court confiscated assets of Kolomoyskyi and Boholyubov totaling over 5 billion rubles (more than $55 million).

Among the confiscated companies were LLC "Yuzhgazenergi" and LLC "Catering - Yug", which were engaged in fuel and energy activities in the Republic of Adygea, Russia. These organizations had an average annual turnover of about 1-1.7 billion rubles.

The ultimate beneficiary of these enterprises was the British oil and gas company JKX Oil & Gas Limited, in which Kolomoyskyi and Boholyubov owned shares through offshore holdings.

In 2017, Kolomoyskyi, Boholyubov, and Khomutynnyk (until 2020), being the largest shareholders of JKX Oil & Gas, appointed a loyal director, who, among other things, implemented their strategy of operations in Russia and still heads the company’s board.

As noted in the Russian court’s decision, through JKX Oil & Gas Limited, the oligarchs allegedly controlled significant assets in Russia’s oil and gas sector, receiving from them "consistent and high profits."

The financial statements of the companies for 2014-2015 indicate a decline in revenues due to economic sanctions and the depreciation of the ruble. Nevertheless, despite the crisis circumstances, these reports also record growth prospects for the gas sector in southern Russia and successful operational progress.

Thus, in 2022, the company "YuzhgazEnergi" paid over 400 million rubles in taxes and fees to the Russian budget. Over several years, business structures associated with Ukrainian oligarchs transferred millions of dollars to the Russian state.

In November 2023, the press service of JKX Oil & Gas reported that Kolomoyskyi and Boholyubov no longer own a stake in the company, and it has become British-owned. However, according to legislation, the owners have 10 years to appeal this decision in court.
