There are hundreds of facts of obviously unwarranted disabilities among officials, - Zelenskyy

There are hundreds of evidently unfounded disability cases among officials of customs, tax, within the Pension Fund system, in local administrations – address by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, addressed the people of Ukraine.

First – I held a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council. Based on numerous facts of violations by MSEC and false disabilities for officials. By the way, it’s not only prosecutors.

There are hundreds of such evident cases of unfounded disabilities among officials of customs, tax, within the Pension Fund system, in local administrations. All of this needs to be thoroughly and promptly addressed. The MSEC system must be dismantled.

But for real and systemic changes, full digitalization of all stages related to the establishment of disability is necessary.

Government officials – in the Ministry of Digital Transformation, in the digital team of the Ministry of Defence – there are those who can ensure the necessary changes.

The problem is not only that officials grant themselves disability status through connections.

But also that people who have received true disabilities, particularly in combat, often cannot obtain the appropriate status and fair payments.

The government has little time to fix this.

There must be personal accountability and staffing decisions due to this situation within central government bodies – in the MSEC oversight chain.

The decision of the National Security and Defence Council now includes a full audit of pensions and other allocations to all officials who have organized disabilities for themselves.

There was a report at the National Security and Defence Council from the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Malyuk, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Klymenko, regarding inspections and investigations already underway.

Unfortunately, there were very unconvincing reports from the Minister of Health of Ukraine and the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine.

We separately need to go through all horizontals of local government.

Also today at the National Security and Defence Council, the situation within the prosecution bodies of Ukraine was discussed. Following the outcome of this conversation, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, submitted a resignation letter.

The second important thing to say for today.

There were several reports from Commander Syrskyi regarding the situation at our front and the prospects for the near future.

In particular, we have information about the preparation of two units from military personnel in North Korea – it could even be two brigades of 6,000 people each.

And this is a challenge.

But we know how to respond to this challenge. And it’s important that our partners do not shy away from this challenge. All partners.

I am grateful to all countries and leaders who have condemned North Korea’s joining of Russia’s war.

It is clear that in Pyongyang, just like in Moscow, they do not count people and do not value human lives.

But we all around the world are equally interested in ending the war, not prolonging it. Therefore, we must stop Russia and its collaborators together.

If North Korea can intervene in the war in Europe, then the pressure on this regime is definitely insufficient.

And if Russia still can make this war bigger and longer, then everyone in the world who still does not help to force Russia into peace is, in fact, helping Putin to fight.

Criminals must be stopped. We are expecting a stern and substantive global reaction. Preferably, not just with words.
