A bill on depriving prosecution employees of pension privileges has appeared in the Rada
In the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a proposal was made to equalize the principle of calculating disability pensions for prosecution workers with other citizens of the country.
The corresponding draft law was registered by the "Holos" deputy Inna Sovsun. She announced this on October 22 on X (Twitter).
The politician joked that for this, she would be "hated by the employees of the Ukrainian prosecution."
Sovsun noted that the amount of disability pensions is determined on the same basis for all citizens, except for the military, those affected by the Chornobyl disaster, and prosecution workers.
"The average amount of a disability pension in Ukraine is 4,892 hryvnias and 57 kopecks per month. For prosecutors, this amount can be 60,000 hryvnias per month or more. I don’t know what can explain the special status of prosecution workers – except ’because they can’ – I don’t know," wrote the people’s deputy.
She called on her colleagues in the Verkhovna Rada to support the initiative "if they consider the situation unfair."
