The Ministry of Economy explained the reasons for suspending reservations for companies

The booking procedure has been suspended, and an audit has been initiated due to the anomalous rapid growth in the number of critically important enterprises.

This was explained by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyrydenko in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.

"Since July, we have noticed an anomalous increase in the number of bookings and companies that received the status of critically important enterprises," she noted.

Svyrydenko points out that there were hundreds of thousands of bookings that exceeded the figures of the previous months and were not justified by objective economic factors.

As a result, at the initiative of the Ministry of Defence, an audit was initiated to determine what caused this dynamic. The goal is to eliminate doubts, especially among the military, and ensure it doesn’t threaten defense capability.

The audit is being conducted by commissions at the military-civil administrations and ministries, including the Ministry of Defence. The audit is expected to be completed by November 15, the Minister of Economy reminded.

Meanwhile, Svyrydenko believes that it is inappropriate to grant new bookings while the audit of enterprises is ongoing.
