The Court of Appeal left the former deputy minister of energy under arrest

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has kept former Deputy Minister of Energy Oleksandr Kheilo and his trusted person Serhiy Pylypchuk in custody. They left unchanged the bail amounts of 25 and 65 million UAH, respectively.

This was reported by the press service of the HACC Appeal Chamber, without mentioning the names of the suspects.

According to "Slovo i Dilo," it concerns Kheilo and Pylypchuk, whose detention was just extended with these bail amounts. The suspects’ defense attorneys filed appeals against these decisions.

"The Appeals Chamber of the HACC reviewed the appeals filed by the defense attorneys against the investigative judges’ rulings of the HAC dated 02.10.2024 and 03.10.2024 on extending the detention of the former Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine and another suspect in this case. As an alternative, the investigative judges set bail amounts of 25 million UAH and 65 million UAH for these individuals, respectively. As a result of the review, the panel of judges of the HACC Appeal Chamber left the defense attorneys’ appeals unsatisfied, and the investigative judges’ rulings of the HACC unchanged," the court informs.
