In the early hours of Monday, November 11, Russian troops launched an attack on Mykolaiv using Shahed attack drones. As a result of the enemy shelling, damage occurred in the residential area, and five people lost their lives.

This was reported by the Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, on his Telegram channel. According to him, fires broke out in residential buildings.

A 45-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. Rescuers were working at the scene.

The Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Syenkevych, also reported on the consequences of the strikes.

"Russians have attacked our city with drones again. There is damage to residential buildings. The kamikaze drone threat continues until the all-clear. Do not photograph or post online!" he wrote.

The author of the monitoring channel "Nikolaevskiy Vanek" reported that there was a direct hit by a Shahed on a residential building in the city.

"Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties in Mykolaiv after the attack. People were just sleeping in their apartment when a Shahed flew into their home," the report says.

According to the State Emergency Service, as of 06:35, the death toll from the Russian attack rose to five, with the bodies being pulled from the rubble by rescuers.

As a result of the drone strike, a private one-story house in the city was destroyed. Apartments on the upper floor of a four-story building were also damaged, with fires breaking out on the third and fourth floors.

"Psychologists from the State Emergency Service were working at the scene, with 22 people seeking help. One woman had an acute stress reaction and was hospitalized with a hypertensive crisis," the agency noted.

Rescuers extinguished fires covering 60 and 150 square meters, with 41 specialists and 10 special vehicles at the scene.
