In the Kursk region, the Special Operations Forces conducted a successful operation: they extracted 16 comrades from encirclement
On the territory of the Kursk region, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a successful operation to rescue comrades from the Defence Forces. Specialists from the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center named after Chief Otaman Antin Holovaty freed 16 Ukrainian defenders from enemy encirclement.
This was reported by the Command of the Special Operations Forces. As noted, it was possible to rescue servicemen from three different units of the Defence Forces.
"At two in the morning, Special Operations Forces operators received a combat mission to extract a group of servicemen from friendly units from the encirclement. Within two hours, the operators planned the mission and set off in two armored Humvees to rescue their comrades. We flew in there on Humvees, loaded up the friendly forces, and headed back," said an operator from the 73rd Special Operations Center, ’Bruce’.
The evacuation team had to break through heavy fire: the enemy attacked with a tank, machine guns, and FPV drones. However, the servicemen of the Defence Forces were successfully evacuated, for which they thanked the Special Operations Forces operators.
