The military blogger was charged: deceived people for over 360 thousand hryvnias

Military blogger Vladyslav Sord has been charged with another accusation. This time he is accused of illegal possession of a grenade and ammunition.

The preventive measure for the suspect has also been intensified. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

According to law enforcement, the ammunition was seized during a sanctioned search conducted by the police in November of this year. The fact of illegal possession of weapons was discovered when Sord was charged with fraud committed during martial law. It concerns at least 350,000 hryvnias that the suspect embezzled from the collection of 3.5 million hryvnias for the purchase of five mortars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After some time, investigators gathered enough evidence to present the perpetrator with another accusation. Currently, the military blogger is suspected of illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives (part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The suspect has also been handed a motion to change the preventive measure from house arrest to detention. Sord now faces up to 7 years in prison.

Who is Vlad "Zmiy" Sord

Sord’s real name is Vladyslav Stafiychuk-Hranetskyi. He is 28 years old and was born in the Vinnytsia region. Sord is considered an ATO veteran, as he indeed fought in Donbas, as confirmed by other military personnel.

Sord has owned a publishing house for several years. However, he became known not because of his business, but due to a scandal that arose in the spring of 2021.
