The military explained how much time the Russian Armed Forces would need to capture Pokrovsk
It is difficult to determine how much time it might take for the Russians to come close to Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
This was stated by the commander of the company of the 68th separate ranger brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, "Lyutyi," in an interview with "Radio Svoboda".
According to him, if the occupiers can enter Pokrovsk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to withdraw:
"I don’t know how long it will take them to enter Pokrovsk. But when they enter a settlement, chaos begins. It will be much more difficult to conduct combat operations in a settlement. There will definitely be logistical difficulties, as it is very difficult to control the movement of enemy forces between buildings".
The Ukrainian defender noted that the invaders are actively using drones, which forces the Ukrainian Armed Forces to retreat in order to avoid significant losses:
"I don’t think the defense of the city will last long".
"Lyutyi" emphasized that over the past month, his unit destroyed 1,600 enemy personnel:
"This is a significant number for a company. Whether the Russians will advance to Pokrovsk, enter, and continue their further offensive - I don’t know".
