In the north of the Kharkiv region, the Russians may attempt to get behind the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Vovchansk, said the head of the Kupyansk administration, Andriy Besyedin.

He believes that from the Dvorichna area, where the Russians are trying to hold on the right bank of the Oskil River, they may then head north towards Vovchansk and south — only 2 km to Kupyansk.

"The situation is very difficult and poses threats not only for the Kupyansk direction, but also for Vovchansk — it is the Dvorichne direction where the enemy plans to establish themselves in the village on the right bank of the Oskil. Therefore, if they manage to transfer equipment to the right bank of the Oskil, there will be a threat of getting behind the lines in the Vovchansk direction and directly into Kupyansk," Besyedin stated.

It should be noted that from Dvorichna to Vovchansk there are dozens of kilometers, so there is no immediate breakthrough threat.
