Podolyak explained the purpose of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure

For Ukraine, it is no secret that the Russian Federation constantly seeks to attack critical infrastructure.

This was stated by the advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, in a comment to the YouTube channel of RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, during the morning shelling, Russia intended to cause maximum damage to gas storage facilities and gas transmission systems in western Ukraine.

"You are absolutely right, Russia generally attacks critical infrastructure, this is no secret to us, but yes, it seeks to inflict maximum damage on gas storage facilities and gas transmission systems in the western regions of Ukraine. This is a cynical calculation to show that you stopped the transit, and we retaliated," Podolyak noted.
