Police uncovered an illegal online casino with an annual turnover of over 2 billion hryvnias

The Cyber Police Department and the Main Investigation Department of the National Police, together with the Office of the Prosecutor General, stopped the operation of an illegal online casino that had been operating since 2021.

The criminals organized the illegal provision of gambling services via the internet using a fictitious license. The casino site was targeted at Ukrainian and foreign players from Europe and Asia, conducting transactions using cryptocurrency and international payment systems.

The total turnover from the illegal activities exceeded 2 billion hryvnias annually.

During a search in Dnipro, over 120 individuals involved in the operation of the casino were found, and gaming equipment and servers were discovered and seized. The suspects in the case face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
