HACC fined former MP Mykytas for failing to appear at the hearing
The Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine imposed a monetary penalty of 6056 UAH on former Member of Parliament Maksym Mykytas for failing to appear at a court hearing in the case concerning his organization of the embezzlement of over 81 million UAH from the National Guard.
This decision was made by the court on January 14.
«Impose a monetary penalty on the defendant (Mykytas – ed.) in the amount of 2 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, which amounts to 6056 UAH. Explain to the defendant that according to the provisions of Article 147 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, he has the right to file a motion to cancel the court’s decision to impose a monetary penalty, to the court that made the decision, in case of well-founded arguments regarding the groundlessness of the monetary penalty imposition», – stated in the decision.
