It concerns the area near the highway to Zaporizhzhya, near the village of Konstantynopol. Its capture would allow Russia to encircle parts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces southwest of Kurakhove.

«There is a setback on the Konstantynopol direction, and not the most pleasant news is expected. Due to a significant advantage (of the Russians) in personnel, we have to retreat. The factor of fiber-optic drones is becoming increasingly significant in this area», – he wrote.

The fact that Russian troops are assaulting the approaches to Konstantynopol was also reported by a Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman with the call sign «Muchnyi».

«The enemy’s goal is to expand the area to force our units in the region of the Vovcha River into operational encirclement», – he added. According to him, Russia has tactical achievements here.
