The court left MP Bondaryev, who is suspected of illegal border crossing, at liberty

The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv refused to arrest Member of Parliament Kostyantyn Bondaryev, who is suspected of organizing illegal border crossings for his acquaintances under the guise of drivers.

The prosecution demanded arrest with the possibility of posting bail of 100 million hryvnias, but the court limited itself to a personal commitment.

The MP himself denies the accusations and calls them political persecution:
"This is a lie. No one crossed the border, and I did not create conditions for this. I would like to see the documents and understand the situation. I had no intention of transporting anyone," Bondaryev stated.
