A young man died on the premises of the TRC in Chernivtsi. Preliminary investigative actions and measures are currently being conducted to establish the objective circumstances of this incident.

This was reported by the communication department of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region.

On February 7, while patrolling their assigned area, law enforcement officers discovered a 32-year-old local resident in the regional center who was wanted for evading mobilization. Consequently, he was invited to the regional TRC and SS to clarify his military registration information, which he agreed to.

According to preliminary information, during the medical commission’s examination, his condition abruptly worsened, and he lost consciousness. First aid was immediately provided, and medics were called to the scene. However, during resuscitation measures, doctors pronounced the man dead.

The body of the Chernivtsi resident was sent for a forensic medical examination to determine the cause of death.

The police investigators have entered information about the incident into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 115 with a note "natural death" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
