Ukraine was attacked by 150 Russian drones: air defenders shot down 70, five regions suffered
The Ukrainian Air Force repelled a Russian attack on the night of February 9, carried out using one and a half hundred drones. A total of 70 drones were neutralized over 14 regions, and another 74 did not reach their targets.
The aggressor country started this attack at 7:30 PM the previous day, reported the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result, Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, and Volyn regions were affected.
It is reported that the enemy attacked with 151 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.
The air attacks were repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. As of 9:00 AM Sunday, defenders shot down 70 enemy drones in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions.
Additionally, 74 Russian decoy drones were lost location-wise (without negative consequences), and two UAVs were still airborne, with combat operations continuing against them.

During the attack on the evening of February 8, a Russian drone hit a civilian industrial facility located in the Shostka community of the Sumy region.
In the Obukhiv district of the Kyiv region, drone debris fell on a construction site of a multi-story building, damaging the facade of an unfinished residential building. In other locations in the region, the fall of debris from downed targets was also recorded in open areas.
On the night of February 9, air defense forces and means in the Mykolaiv region destroyed two Shahed-type UAVs. The same number of enemy drones were shot down by sky defenders in the Dnipropetrovsk region: in the Synelnykivskyi district, a fire broke out, which rescuers have already extinguished.
