Ukrainians abroad hold rallies on the third anniversary of the full-scale war
On the occasion of the third anniversary of Russia’s large-scale invasion, representatives of the Ukrainian community around the world are holding events calling for continued support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.
As part of the "Stand With Ukraine! Unite for Ukrainian Victory!" campaign by the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), over 450 events - rallies, flash mobs, lectures, and exhibitions - have been registered on the online event map for the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Netherlands
A silent march dedicated to the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine took place in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

Participants of the event carried a model of the legendary "Mriya" plane - a symbol of resilience, as the real dream cannot be destroyed. Ukrainians and Dutch people also held candles, creating a heart in the city’s center.

Canada
Over 1000 people gathered on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to commemorate three years of Ukraine’s heroic resistance against Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The event was attended by Speaker of the House of Commons Greg Fergus, Canadian political leaders, MP Eric Duncan, Senator Rebecca Patterson, ambassadors, representatives of Ottawa’s city council, Colonel Jason Gini, and members of the Ukrainian community of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Ottawa branch.
In Toronto, more than 15,000 people united at Nathan Phillips Square to send a powerful message of unity, resilience, and unwavering support for Ukraine.
Czech Republic
A 40,000-strong rally in support of Ukraine took place in Prague on Sunday, involving, among others, Czech President Petr Pavel, Advisor - Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Rehabilitation of Ukraine’s President Darya Herasymchuk, and children returned from Russian deportation.

As part of the "Stolen Voices" informational campaign and the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA, Darya Herasymchuk called for maximum effort to bring every child abducted by Russia home as soon as possible.
After the rally, Ukrainians and Czechs marched to the Taras Shevchenko monument in Prague.
Turkey
A rally marking the 3rd anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine was held at the Ukrainian Park in Ankara on February 23.

Participants honored the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and the victims of Russian aggression against Ukraine with a moment of silence.
Also, a rally in support of Ukraine was held in the heart of Istanbul, at Şişhane Square, on Sunday, followed by the ceremonial unfurling of the Ukrainian flag as a symbol of unity and resilience of the Ukrainian people.

The event was attended by relatives of missing persons, prisoners of war, and illegally convicted members of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, the Republic of Chechnya of Ichkeria, Ukrainian diplomats, and friends of Ukraine from Turkey and other countries.

France
A large rally took place in the center of Paris on Sunday in solidarity and support of the Ukrainian resistance.
Participants of the event called for ensuring a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and Europe, as well as preventing a recurrence of Russian aggression.
Montenegro
The Ukrainian community in the city of Herceg Novi joined the global action in support of Ukraine on the occasion of the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Italy
On the eve of the anniversary of Russia’s large-scale invasion, thousands gathered in Milan at Castello Square on February 23 to support Ukraine and counter Russian propaganda. This was reported to Ukrinform by one of the event participants, Iryna Malovytsya.

The rally includes a march to the main sites of Milan. Many Italians and foreigners joined the Ukrainian community.

Participants demand that Russia be held accountable for its crimes and provide Ukraine with strong and concrete guarantees to prevent the occupier from returning with new military aggression and for the EU to actively participate in peace negotiations from a strong and clear position.

Argentina
An event for a just peace in Ukraine took place in the center of Buenos Aires at General San Martin Square on the eve of the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The massive event, organized by the Ukrainian Central Representation in the Argentine Republic, was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian community, Lithuanian, Polish, Latvian, and other friendly to Ukraine national communities, staff of the Ukrainian and Polish embassies in Argentina, clergy representatives, and numerous friends of Ukraine.
The event began with a minute of silence in memory of all those who perished as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine, followed by the Argentine Republic and Ukraine anthems.
Numerous condemnations of the Russian aggressor and calls for the swiftest establishment of a long-lasting and just peace were heard during the event.
Portugal
A commemoration event for 11 years of war and the third anniversary of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine was held in the Portuguese city of Braga, attended by representatives from the Consulate of Ukraine in Porto, city council, Portuguese citizens, the regional Ukrainian community, and local media.
The event was organized by the Portugal-Ukraine Social and Cultural Center: Ukraine - Portugal - Europe at the initiative of its head Abraão Veloso.
Attendees honored the memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine with a minute of silence. At the event’s conclusion, everyone had the opportunity to leave their wishes for peace, support, and hope for the future in the Ukrainian-Portuguese book.
Lithuania
A joint ecumenical prayer for a just peace and Ukraine’s victory took place at the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius on February 23.
Believers, along with clergy representatives in Lithuania, prayed to the Lord for protection for the Ukrainian people, strength for its defenders, and a bright future for Ukraine.
Spain
Madrid massively joined the global action Stand With Ukraine i Unete Victoria Ucraniana on the eve of the third anniversary of the full-scale war initiated by Russia.
The event was attended by a large Ukrainian community, Spaniards, diplomats, and representatives of the Spanish government.
Estonia
The Congress of Ukrainians of Estonia organized a Stand With Ukraine "Unite for Ukraine’s Victory" march in Tallinn on February 22. Video can be viewed at the following link.

A rally dedicated to the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine was held at Freedom Square in Estonia’s capital Tallinn on Saturday.

Ukrainians who attended the rally expressed hope for Ukraine’s victory in the war. Many of them are volunteers gathering donations to support Ukrainian soldiers. At the same time, they emphasized the importance of achieving a just peace.
Lebanon
At the Ukrainian embassy in Beirut, a memorial event dedicated to the third anniversary of the start of the Russian war against Ukraine was held on February 22. The event united members of Ukrainian organizations, friends of Ukraine, and all those who share the pain of the Ukrainian people and support the struggle for freedom, as well as Lebanese journalists.
Those present observed a minute of silence for everyone who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence and watched the documentary film "Operation Kursk." Young representatives of the scout organization "Plast" performed a patriotic song.
Australia
An event was held outside the Russian embassy on February 22 in the Australian capital, Canberra, to mark the third anniversary of the large-scale war.
Brazil
The Ukrainian community held a demonstration at Praça da Ucrânia in Curitiba to protest against Russian aggression.
Taiwan
An event titled Stands With Ukraine was organized in the capital of Taiwan, Taipei.
Luxembourg
A rally "Justice for Ukraine = Peace for Europe" dedicated to the third year of Ukrainian resistance to Russian aggression was held in Luxembourg.
The event was attended by Ukrainian representatives, the diplomatic corps accredited in Luxembourg, the Ukrainian community, local citizens, and friends from other countries. The LUkraine organization organized the demonstration.
The march aimed to remind that Ukraine’s future is Europe’s future, to call for further support for Ukraine, and to express gratitude to friendly Luxembourg and other partners for their valuable practical assistance to our state.
