Explosion at the "Kametstal" plant in Kamyanske: bunker depressurization occurred, no casualties reported

On Sunday, March 2, a powerful explosion occurred on the territory of the "Kametstal" plant in Kamyanske. According to the enterprise, a malfunction was recorded during the execution of the technological process, which caused the depressurization of the bunker. The enterprise is operating in standard mode.

This was reported with reference to a post on the "Kametstal" plant’s Facebook page. 

“On March 2nd, a malfunction occurred during the execution of the technological process at the PVP section of the ’Kametstal’ plant, resulting in the depressurization of storage bunker PVP No. 2. This led to damage to the building’s cladding and the metal structure of the bunker. There are no casualties as a result of the incident, and restoration work is ongoing,” the report states.

The causes of the incident are being determined. The results will be reported additionally.
