Theft in communal services in our country ranges from 30% to 60%, - Popenko

This was stated by the head of the Union of Utility Services Consumers of Ukraine, Oleh Popenko, about corruption in the utility services sector.

"Even if we imagine that Ukraine found 200 billion euros - everything comes down to the impossibility of implementation, as there is a lack of specialists capable of developing a project worth 10-15 billion euros for a salary of 10,000 hryvnias," said the head of the Union of Utility Services Consumers of Ukraine.

According to Popenko, the problem is particularly acute in the regions — there, energy managers simply do not exist.
