Russia attacked with "Iskander" and 139 drones at night: Air Defence Forces shot down 78 UAVs

This message was shared on the  Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

During the attack, the Russians used:

• a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" from Crimea;
• 139 Shahed-type drones and mock drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied Chauda.

To repel the attack, the following were engaged:

• aviation;
• anti-aircraft missile forces;
• electronic warfare units;
• mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 a.m., the downing of 78 drones in the south, north, and center of the country was confirmed. Additionally, 35 mock drones were lost without any serious consequences.

Due to the enemy attack, the affected regions were:

• Kharkiv;
• Sumy;
• Poltava;
• Kirovohrad;
• Kyiv;
• Cherkasy;
• Odesa region.
