The Verkhovna Rada passed a bill on the compulsory alienation of land and real estate in Zakarpattia

The Verkhovna Rada has passed bill No. 9549 for the second time on the forcible alienation of land and real estate in the Uzhhorod district of the Zakarpattia region.

It was previously vetoed by the president and sent back for revision.

The bill provides the possibility of forcible alienation of land plots and other real estate during martial law not only for the placement of defence-industrial complex objects but also for infrastructure objects.

The decision is made by the Cabinet of Ministers upon the submission of the RMA. After this, residents of the district are given two months to voluntarily inform the RMA of their consent to sell their property. If there is no application, the alienation procedure begins in 3 months.
