In Paris, a declaration was signed on the establishment of the Ukrainian Solidarity Center

It is reported that Chernyshov and Buffet participated in an intergovernmental meeting dedicated to the issues of receiving and integrating temporarily displaced Ukrainians.

"During the meeting, the parties confirmed their joint commitment to establish the Ukrainian Unity Hub in France, solidifying this by signing a joint declaration," the message states.

Additionally, officials discussed the future of temporary protection and the prospects of Ukrainians returning home, mechanisms to support Ukrainians in France, including access to healthcare and education, as well as simplifying the procedure for recognizing Ukrainian driver’s licenses. Employment opportunities and social adaptation were also in focus.

"France has provided shelter to tens of thousands of our citizens, and we highly appreciate this assistance. We hope it will continue until the complete end of the war. At the same time, we look to the future: the arrival of French companies in Ukraine to participate in reconstruction can become an important incentive for the return of Ukrainians who have obtained education and valuable professional experience in France. We are working to make this process as efficient and mutually beneficial as possible," Chernyshov emphasized.

It is also noted that during the working trip, Chernyshov met with the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. The minister noted that her repeated visits to Ukraine since the spring of 2022 have become a symbol of French solidarity and willingness to help. He also emphasized that Paris not only provided emergency humanitarian aid to Ukraine but also organized reception centers for Ukrainians, allowing thousands of citizens to find refuge there.

"Thank you, Ms. Anne Hidalgo, and all of Paris for your solidarity and friendship, which you show in these difficult times," he said.
